Do you want to help shape the future of the Event Safety in the US?

Go online to eventsafetyalliance.org before the 2nd September to give your input to the new Event Safety Guide being written by the Event Safety Alliance (ESA).

The ESA were formed earlier this year after a series of accidents at live events in 2011 including the stage collapse in Alabama. The mission of the group is to promote the mindset of “Life Safety First”. Their first step in achieving this is to create a US version of the HSE Event Safety Guide or Purple Guide, currently used in the UK. From here, the hope is to gain the co-operation and buy in from industry leaders and government with the aim of creating strategies for training, certification and inspection practices for the industry.

To have your input to the guide, visit eventsafetyalliance.org, go to the Get Involved tab, review the existing documents and add give your input via the websites comment section.

This ambitious project is due for publishing in February 2013.
