Speedway British Final In Association With Doodson Motorsport

The Speedway British Final In Association With Doodson Motorsport that took place on Monday July 30th was an exciting event for all that attended.

The event, held in the Ladbroke Stadium, Wolverhampton saw 16 riders compete in 20 qualifying heats. The top 2 riders went through to a final with the others competing in a semi final for a spot in Grand Final.

When the Grand Final came, the top four were exactly the same as in 2011 with Nicholls finishing ahead of Chris Harris, Tai Woffinden and Edward Kennett in the final. Not only that, as in 2011, the final saw Woffinden leading, only for the race to be stopped when Kennett crashed out. Unfortunately for Woffinden, he could only finish third behind Nicholls and Harris.

Nicholls, took the title of British Champion for a record breaking seventh time, beating legendary speedway rider Barry Briggs.

It was an honour for Doodson Motorsport to partner the event which ascertains who will gain a place in the Speedway Grand Prix. Doodson managing director, Neil Clayton stated;

‘We have partnered speedway in many guises but never as lead sponsors if the British Final. Well done to all that competed and of course, huge congratulations to Scott on his 7th win.’
